CAIRNS WILDLIFE DOME

Imagine discovering the secrets, sights and sounds of rainforest wildlife – right in the heart of Cairns.The Cairns Wildlife Dome is a spectacular all-weather wildlife exhibit enclosed by a 20 metre high glass dome on top of the Reef Hotel Casino.

You’ll be immersed in a replicated rainforest environment whilst birds such as parrots, cockatoos and lorikeets fly freely around you. Observe curlews, frogmouths and kookaburras, along with other animals such as pademelons, frogs, turtles, pythons, freshwater crocodiles and the bettong.

Come face-to-face with Goliath, a huge saltwater crocodile, in a unique glass underwater viewing tank. Meet Zorro, the black cockatoo, who’s more than likely to introduce himself. Cuddle a koala and have a digital photo as a souvenir of your experience.

Guided tours and presentations occur throughout the day, including feed out tours, a free flight bird show, and reptile and mammal shows.
