TOP DIDJ AND ART GALLERY
Based in Katherine in the Northern Territory Australia since 2000, Top Didj & Art Gallery displays the finest collection of Aboriginal Art in the area.
Holding a portfolio of artists from the region, the gallery reflects the cultural diversity and influences from the Jawoyn and Dagoman Aborigines who have lived in the area for thousands of years. The gallery also has a range of strong collections from the celebrated regions of Arnhem Land, the Kimberleys and the Central Western Desert, which is home to the Warlpiri people. Katherine is central to these regions.
In 2009 Top Didj commenced the Katherine Cultural Experience in collaboration with Manuel Pamkal a well known and respected member of the Dalabon Tribe. This is a must do if you ever get to Katherine.
