HOGLUND GLASSBLOWING STUDIO

This ‘jungle glass studio’ is the home to world-renowned glass artists Ola Hoglund and Marie Simberg-Höglund.

It is situated in the tropical rainforest of Australia’s Far North Queensland in the beautiful Whyanbeel Valley, approx. 40 minutes drive north of Port Douglas, bordering on the Daintree World Heritage National Park.

In this lush and tranquil location of the ‘forest of rain’, Ola and Marie work on their glass art in a variety of glass making techniques, including glassblowing, fusing, slumping and painting. The gallery has a stunning collection of vases, bowls, platters, goblets, paperweights and glass jewellery.

Ola also offers visitors the opportunity to try their hand at glassblowing and make their very own glass paperweight – a great introduction to hot glass with lots of fun! No previous experience is necessary. It is an excellent opportunity for both individuals and ‘team building’ groups to try this creative process. (Bookings necessary)

Höglund Art Glass Studio & Gallery is open from 1 June to 31 October and visitors are welcome between 10am and 4pm daily. (closed Wednesdays & Thursdays)
