WAVEDANCER LOW ISLESFor a day of tropical island relaxation, set sail in luxury aboard Quicksilver’s 30 metre sailing catamaran, Wavedancer, to the idyllic Low Isles. A major turtle habitat, you might just meet some of the friendly locals! From the moment Wavedancer moors in the picturesque lagoon, a host of reef activities await. Discover the mysteries of marine life while snorkelling or glass bottom boat viewing. Take a guided beach walk and snorkel tour with a marine biologist or just relax on the beach under a thatched umbrella or on the decks of Wavedancer.
Low Isles is a historic part of The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Named by Captain Cook in 1770, the cays were the site of the first extensive scientific study of a coral reef anywhere in the world in 1928, and their landmark lighthouse has greeted visitors since 1878. You can learn about this remarkable history with Quicksilver’s marine biologist guided island walk – all included in your day.
SILVERSOINC DIVE & SNORKEL ADVENTURES
Divers and adventure snorkellers will experience a highly personalised day visiting three different and exclusive reef sites on the Agincourt ribbon reefs aboard the luxurious Silversonic. Designed for small groups of adventure-minded people, you’ll have 5 hours to explore these sites, each chosen for visual and ecological diversity.
Siversonic is one of the newest vessels in Port Douglas and the only one to feature a state-of-the-art ride control system helping to provide a smooth journey even when travelling at up to 32 knots.
For snorkellers, there’s a snorkel brief at each site and your day also includes guided snorkel tour. First time introductory divers can take the plunge in complete confidence with an experienced dive instructor by your side. Certified dives are also fully guided by the passionate crew with intimate local knowledge of these amazing reef systems.
