MAREEBA HERITAGE MUSEUM AND TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE

Gain an insight into the region's history and attractions by visiting the Mareeba Heritage Museum and Tourist Information Centre.

The displays are housed in a Heritage Style Museum which includes a small shop selling local produce, books, souvenirs and art and crafts. Wide, cool verandahs have benches for enjoying a refreshing drink.

The facility has a large back yard with a unique, one of its kind Rail Ambulance, a Historic Railway Carriage and a workable Blacksmith shop.

Free tourist maps and information on the Mareeba Shire and surrounding regions are provided at the Centre. Visitors can gain expert information on what to see and do.

Plenty of parking space, wide cool verandahs, with wheelchair access and clean toilets are available.

Many visitors call into the museum for Tourist Information, then spend considerable time there because it's an attraction in itself with its intriguing displays.
